Despite the shitty weather upon my arrival the previous day, and the weather up north causing all the flight cancellations, we didn't get a single cloud in the sky for several days and damn was I stoked to be here! We spent the first half of the day in Fort Lauderdale before heading to Miami later in the afternoon.

Fort Lauderdale Beach at 7am :) My excitement (and possibly the slight time zone change) woke me early, so I went wandering along the beach (a whole two-minute walk across the road) while Mo slept in.

While heading to the beach I was wondering how I'd handle driving on the left-hand side of a car on the right-hand side of the road hehe - it was going to be fun!

After an hour of wandering along the beach I moseyed on back. This is the A1A, a 'scenic' state road that runs along Atlantic coastline.

We went to find some food and came across this shop selling various chocolates, ice cream, caramel apples, the works. Mo hoed right in!

Naturally, after several months of virtually no sun, I was looking a bit white! These are the before-shots of my tan; after-shots later ;)

Later in the day we caught the train down to Miami (about an hour's ride). In most places you get fined for walking on the tracks, but not here apparently hahaha!
