Lord's Cricket Ground. Being a huge cricket nut I've wanted to visit Lord's (the home of cricket) for as long as I can remember :) I rocked up hoping to be able to take a few shots but I happened to get there just in time for a full tour of the place - groovy!

This is inside the media centre (as seen on the left of the Panorama above). As the name suggests, this is for the media to watch and report on the games.

The original Ashes urn (non-cricketers won't have a clue). The following week these were heading to Australia for the upcoming Ashes series.

The Ashes trophy on the left, and the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy on the right.

This is Kensington Gardens, one of several huge parks in central London.

This reminded me of home. Not far from where I lived in New Zealand is a big lake like this teeming with birdlife, except there was considerably more bird shit surrounding this one..

Also in the park is Kensington Palace. Once home to Princess Diana, it has been a residence of the British Royal Family since the 17th century. I walked in, saw the price for a tour, and walked out again.

Squirrels!

This one felt entitled to whatever this old guy was eating hahaha.

This is Kensington Park Gardens, a private road running alongside Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. There are just 21 buildings on it, most of which once served as embassies. But with cash-strapped countries starting to sell off their expensive embassy buildings, you may be able to pick one up for around the £50 million mark. For some reason, photography is forbidden along here, but I can't read.

Harrods! A massive upmarket department store occupying a 4.5-acre site and five storeys in height, selling almost everything under the sun. Mohamed Al-Fayed had a spare £615 million sitting around between the cushions of his sofa and so bought the store in 1985.

Where'd you buy your rat? I bought it from Harrods!

Where'd you buy your ride-on lawn mower? I bought it from Harrods!

Where'd you buy your hot-pink bike? I bought it from Harrods!

Where'd you get arrested? At Harrods!

Where'd you buy your NASA rocket? Not from Harrods believe it or not. This is the Science Museum - good free entertainment for a couple of hours.

There's a lot on display in here, for example: The rockets on the left, the landing gear from an Airbus A340 pictured here (this is huge; the wheels alone aren't much shorter than I am!)...

Big-ass 20-cylinder engine out of a plane...

A Mini cut in half...

The Apollo 10 command module that orbited the moon with three people jammed in it before heading home again (Apollo 11 then landed on the moon later with Neil and friends).

Even Windows and Game Boys are now museum fodder!
