I spent a lot of time looking around the city, seeing what had changed, revisiting a few places, and just generally soaking it all in while I could. Good weather for it!

Looking north over the city from the Port Hills.

All of these shots were taken in Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens, both in central Christchurch. Hagley Park is a bit over 1.5 square kilometres, contains several sports fields, and is host to many open-air concerts. The Botanical Gardens cover 30 hectares in the northeast of the park.

Victoria Lake in North Hagley Park.

Cocaine Memorial Garden, hehe.

The area along the northeast of Hagley Park which includes the Canterbury Museum and the Arts Centre is like being back in Scotland almost.

The Christchurch Tram covers a 2.5km loop through the central city. There's also a restaurant tram which I seem to remember smells quite good when it goes past hehe.

Hahaha!

Central city.

More central city. This was late Sunday afternoon so things are pretty quiet.

Fish 'n' chips - New Zealand style; nothing like it! :)

The view from the Port Hills by night.
