Our second day in New York became the whole reason for our coming here in the first place - New York wintery snow! The previous day was clear and sunny, but overnight the whole state had a shitload of the white stuff dumped on it and it continued to fall for most of the day!

Awesome! :)

The snow blowers were out and did a great job of clearing the footpaths only to throw shit all over parked cars hahaha!

Across from Central Park is FAO Schwarz toy store (anyone seen the movie Big?)

This place is pretty amazing: huge stuffed toys...

Little stuffed toys...

Goblins...

Lollies (or candy as they say here)...

Harry Potter characters made completely of Lego blocks...

R2D2 also made completely of Lego...

Big train sets...

Model cars and a Ferrari kids bike...

And Steve Irwin - crickey!

After he's done his face he can do his balls ;)

If you have seen Big then you should recognise this - bloody good fun!

And for just a quarter mil' you can have your own!

Into Central Park to play in the snow, bloody pretty huh! :) Central Park covers a whopping 843 acres or 3.4 square-kilometres.

This stuff was as close to powder as I'd ever seen! I threw about a hundred big snowballs at Jen and my gloves were still completely dry!

Hehehe!

This is Strawberry Fields - a 2.5-acre memorial to John Lennon who lived in the apartment block directly across the road for the latter part of his life and was killed right out front.

The whole park was a buzz with big dogs...

Little dogs (looking cold)...

Snowball fights...

Dickheads making snow angels...

And snowmen!

I added my own personal touch to this one, much to this guy's enjoyment hahaha!

We found a whole heap of kids sliding down this hill on plastics boards. I didn't have a plastic board but that didn't stop me - fun! ;)

... which would have provided much comic relief for everyone else. You should have done a knee slide bro
- Katie

Yup but I didn't - was wearing water-proof pants cos of the snow and the material wouldn't have slid along that surface, it would have stuck fast and I would have face-planted :)
- Aaron

Were you allowed to do a running slide along it on your knees? That would be primo
- Katie

you have longer legs than I do :P
- Jen

I managed ;)
