With York being an old Viking settlement we had a wander through the Jorvik Viking Centre (Jorvik being York's former name back in those days). Those Viks must have had bloody massive heads!

Actual remnants of some old Viking building.

Viking currency - looks suspiciously like a 20p coin in there to me.

Actual remnants of some old Viking hehe.

Part of the tour takes you through a reconstruction of how historians believe the Viking life was like. The women stood around gossiping...

The men sat around talking about women...

They made stuff and sold stuff...

And they shit on the road side in public view.

Oh and this is actual remnants of Viking shit. Pretty impressive log this one - I bet that felt better ;)

Round the road from the Jorvik Centre is the York Dungeon which takes you back to the days of the plague when they dealt with criminals slightly differently than they do today. In this day and age, if you steal something for example you might get a community order or whatever, whereas back then they dealt with you like this. I like their way better.

Round the road again from the Dungeon is York Brewery. No lager here - it's all various ales. Similar process though: soak the malt (barley or whatever) and hops...

Drain the water and add yeast, let that shit ferment over a number of days...

And voila! Yummy :)

Imagine if they dealt with all the degenerate hoodies in this god-forsaken country in this way! They should! Alternatively, just round them up and shoot them.
