Also at the end of Jardin del Turia is the L'Oceanographic aquarium. It was just after 1pm when we got here and bloody hot, and so we spent a few hours here to escape the heat.

Indeed.

All the usual aquarium shit was here to see: fishes (guess what I had for dinner that night)...

Penguins...

Bloody big crabs (or something)...

Jellies...

Seals...

Flamingos (another common aquarium sight I'm sure)...

Swordfish...

Rays...

These Asian-looking things...

And of course, sharks!!!

They also put on a good dolphin show too.

Afterwards they fed these kids to the dolphins, and it was great ;)

Wandering further from the city centre reaffirmed my theory about Valencia being another onion city similar to Glasgow. The middle is nice, then it turns into a dive, and nice again as you head further out - weird.

Valencia's beach is hardly the nicest in the world, but nonetheless was absolutely crowded!

It was nice to be in the Mediterranean Sea, again :)

Jen found herself a friend while we were checking out the beach-side markets hahaha!

Sangria is a wine punch common throughout Spain. Sangria recipes vary greatly, but the usual ingredients include red wine, sliced fruit, sweetener (honey or OJ), and a small amount of alcoholic spirits. Yummy :)

Just along from the beach is the America's Cup village that played host to the big race this year. New Zealand came second to dirty old Alinghi, again!
