Day 13, another beauty, so we headed back into the fjords and stopped off at this waterfall, apparently famous because you can walk behind it.

Cool. Ticked that box.

We saw many cottages and houses with some sort of grass or something growing all over their roofs (I assume it acts as a good insulator) but this one had quite the garden going on hehe.

Unfortunately it was starting to cloud over a bit but the views were still amazing.

Another quiet and beautiful little lunch spot - I was good at hunting these out :)

Anyway this was today's destination - Hardangerfjord! This one is Norway's second-largest and the world's third-largest with a length of 179km.

Like yesterday, we followed the fjord for a way, but then headed away from it as we had another stop in mind. By the way, how bloody nice is this area?!

And this was that stop - Vøringfossen waterfall. This is one of the most visited falls in Norway, though it looks completely unimpressive from the side we were on so I've stolen this shot of it to give you a better idea. The falls are 183m high.

A short ways back up the road is the start of a trail leading down to this river and to the bottom of the falls which is apparently well worth a look (again, this is a stolen shot).

The photos I stole above were clearly taken much later in the summer because this is what we found hehe - a lot of snow! We eventually lost the trail under the snow and so I did my best to find another way up the river.

Unfortunately it just wasn't going to happen, and we had to abort - bugger!

We took a different route back to the car to avoid the snow, and after all the rocky fun at Pulpit Rock a couple days earlier I don't think Kristina was impressed ;)

Also like yesterday, I found us an alternative route back to Bergen.

I'm not sure where exactly this was, but it's one of many nice wee towns and villages scattered about the area.

10 out of 10 for view!

Again this alternative route of mine seemed to take us through the mountains, and again we were the only vehicle on the road.
