On the third day a large group of us went on a half-day excursion run by Club Med to a small coastal town some 40 minutes south of the resort called Tropea.
 
 
It was fairly typical of the towns in the area with southern Italy being a much poorer area than the north, but I really liked it and being right on the Med Sea made it even better!
 
 
Tropea is probably most famous for its castle built atop this big rock right on the coast, the Santa Maria dell'Isola.

 
 
Chillies anyone?

After a good wander around the town I headed for the beach, which was a lot nicer than it may appear here!

There were some real hotties on the beach too. If only I could wolf-whistle! ;)
 
This was on a t-shirt in a shop. On the first night a bloke from one of our offices down south got far too hammered on the copious amounts of free booze and ended up having a slash all over his roommate's luggage hahaha! Why the hell you'd do that I don't know!
